Course features

Internationalization

Continue to integrate with international standards, develop enthusiastic  cooperation and exchange relations with English-speaking countries and non-English-speaking countries, so as to promote international community.

Localization

Develop indigenous theories, models and practical experiences to shape Taiwan’s adult and lifelong learning feature.

Seeking change

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has recognized learning to change as the fifth pillar of lifelong learning, stressing the importance of change. In his famous book Next Society, Durack said: “In a fast-changing society, every organization must be the driving force of change, and the most effective way to successfully manage change is to create change itself.” The planning and implementation of our curriculum adheres to the philosophy of “everything changes for the sake of improvement, not change for the sake of change”, and continues to improve through change.

Learning

By improving the planning and implementation of the curriculum, we will make the Institute a benchmark for learning organizations. Continue to strengthen the team learning of faculty and postgraduate students, develop a strong research team, and effectively play an important role in promoting lifelong learning and human resource development.

Networking

Develop and strengthen strategic alliance partnerships across organizations. On one hand, enhance cooperation with institutions of the same nature and establish horizontal strategic alliances; On the other hand, actively established vertical or hybrid strategic alliances with institutions of different natures to expand the influence of academic research and enrich theoretical and practical achievements. The development orientation of networking will create a win-win situation for each other, and shape the synergy of 1+1>2 through cross-field dialogue and cooperation.

Innovative

In a society that values speed, not innovate will led to elimination. The source of innovation comes from continuous learning, systematic thinking, the courage to try and accept challenges and high execution. Innovation is an important spirit and connotation of our curriculum.
